Year 2022:

During the year, we invested in our Helsinki data centre and made significant improvements to our servers. We also increased the performance of our older accounts, which was reflected in faster page performance for our customers.

Our work as a domain name broker was again awarded with a full five stars in Traficom's broker comparison!

Suncomet In the framework of the International project, we worked hard on internationalisation, developing our systems and operations to enable us to offer our services throughout Europe.

Stripe was chosen as the new payment service for our order vending machine, replacing Nordea Connect, and it proved to be a good choice. In addition to Stripe, payments could also be made via PayPal. Naturally, invoices can always be paid as normal reference payments via the bank.

In the background, we also worked hard on the future features of our client system and the new authentication system, which will be released in 2023.

We improved our efficiency in many areas, and our efforts did not lead us to raise our prices in 2022 either.

The year 2023:

We will continue to develop our services on servers and in particular client systems.

During the year, we will continue to invest in our Helsinki data centre and start purchasing new high performance servers. New automations of client systems will be released during the year to make it easier and more straightforward to manage services for our clients. We will again invest in our blog content and aim to have new publications on our website that will benefit our customers.

We will continue to focus on making WordPress sites work as well as possible on our services, and during the year we will be testing an efficient and automated WordPress cache, and if there are no problems with the tests, we will implement it on our servers. The purpose of caching is to speed up WordPress sites considerably, which is especially important for smaller web hosting packages.

We have not increased our prices for more than five years and we will not increase the basic prices for Web hosting and our domain name services in 2023 in line with our service policy!

However, it should be noted that the euro has weakened significantly (by around 14%) against the dollar over the last five years, which has a direct impact on the cost of domain names and licences. In addition, the sharp rise in general consumer prices and the exceptional increase in energy prices have a significant impact on all costs. Our data centers have announced total price increases of 13% in 2023 and over the last five years, data center prices have increased by a total of 20% (2017--2022). As a result, we will have to review our discounts for Web hosting and domain name services.

The annual discounts for web hosting and domain names will change, with a 10% discount for a three-year billing period and a 20% discount for a five-year billing period. The change will take effect immediately for new subscriptions and renewals for the next billing period.
