The year 2023 :

We continued to develop our services on servers, in particular client systems.

During the year, we invested in our Helsinki data centre and started to purchase new high performance servers. New automations of client systems were released to make it easier and more straightforward to manage services for our clients.

We further increased our focus on making WordPress sites work as well as possible on our services and introduced an efficient and automatic WordPress cache (AccelerateWP) on our servers. The purpose of the cache is to speed up WordPress sites significantly, which is especially important for smaller web hosting packages.

Kevin is the new payment service for our order vending machine, allowing you to send bank payments efficiently and securely. The payment service was added during the year alongside Stripe and PayPal. Invoices can always be paid as normal reference payments via the bank.

We added strong authentication, as recommended by Traficom, to identify users of our services and verify their rights.

In the background, we also worked extensively on future features of our client system and the new authentication system, which will be released during 2024.

We have not increased our prices for more than six years and we will not increase the base prices for Web hosting and our domain name services in 2023 in line with our service policy!

The year 2024 :

We will continue to develop our services on servers and in particular client systems.

During the year, we will continue to invest in our Helsinki data centre and add new high performance servers. We will again invest in our blog content and aim to have publications on our website that are useful to our customers.

During the year, we will also invest in our secure mail service and will add a signature feature, so that our secure mail service can also be used for signing. We will also be adding a lot of new automation to our customer systems to make it easier and more straightforward to manage services for our customers.

We have not increased our prices for more than six years and we will not increase the basic prices of our web hosting services in 2024 in line with our service policy!

Several domain name registries have increased their prices substantially over the past year. It should also be noted that the euro has weakened significantly against the dollar over the last few years, which has a direct impact on the cost of domain names and licences. In addition, the sharp rise in general consumer prices and the exceptional increase in energy prices have a significant impact on all costs. Our data centres have increased prices by a total of 25% over the last six years (2017-2023). In addition, a VAT increase is expected in September.

When VAT is increased, all taxable prices will be updated to reflect the new tax. Exempt prices will remain unchanged. However, we will review the pricing of individual domain name extensions due to price increases and exchange rates in the domain name registries. No other pricing changes are expected. If the general price trend continues into 2025, we may need to review discounts at some point in the future. Nevertheless, the basic prices will remain unchanged in line with our service philosophy!

So now is the time to order a service or extend your billing period before the VAT rises!

As always, we are working hard to improve our services also in 2024 and we will continue to improve our efficiency in many areas, with our customers' best interests at the forefront!
