Weebly will cease operations on 28 February 2021.
Weebly's operations began to experience a lot of problems and disruptions during 2020. Serious connectivity problems with the Weeblyn system began at the end of November. We have been in contact with Weebly using all available channels, but we have not received any further information on the extent of the problems or the timeline of the fixes. Despite the problems, Weebly has continued to charge the service regularly and has not offered any compensation for the service's inaction. The problems have been going on continuously for over two months now and we have completely lost confidence in Weebly's operations.
As a result, we have terminated the cooperation agreement with Weebly and the agreement with Weebly expires on 28 February 2021.
Due to Weebly's problems, the pages made with Weebly have not, as a rule, been updated for about two months. The termination of the agreement will end the possibility of updating the pages at Weebly in the future as well.
In accordance with Weebly's terms and conditions, the content of the users is the property of the users, so the pages made at Weebly will continue to operate as usual for the content even after the termination of the agreement. Excluding features that use Weebly's platform in its operations (blogs, forms, etc.).
In the future, you can update pages by editing html files directly, for example through file management.
Billing for paid Weebly packages will cease with the termination of the contract. As a refund of the paid time, we transfer the sites of paid Weebly packages free of charge to the WordPress platform as whole as possible. Changes may occur, for example, in the layout due to the diversity of the platforms.
For users of free Weebly, we recommend moving the sites to a SitePad homepage machine or WordPress platform. There is no automated tool for migration, and in practice, the easiest way to transfer is to create new pages and copy the data from old pages to a new platform. Where possible, our customer service will assist you with any questions regarding the transfer. We also offer wordpress package and Transfer service to facilitate migration and deployment of new pages.
We've begun to investigate seeking damages from Weebly in connection with the problems. Any damages will be transferred to customers in full. Priority will be given to potential damages for users of the paid Weebly.
