Thank you for 2024!
The year 2024 has been significant for Suncomet Oy in many ways. Our turnover reached a record high and the Helsinki data centre became operational for all our new super high performance servers. So we've been able to offer our customers even better performance, and even more domestically. In 2024, our services experienced very few disruptions and the only significant disruption was experienced in the spring on our C2 server due to faulty components. After repairs, the C2 server was also uninterrupted for the rest of the year. We conducted a small customer survey regarding the cPanel control panel and pricing. The survey showed that we are not giving up cPanel for the time being, but it highlighted that our customers are more interested in our excellent value for money and good customer service than in the control panel.

Year 2025
During the year we will continue to invest in the Helsinki data centre and aim to upgrade as many older servers as possible to new high-performance servers in the Helsinki data centre. We will also continue to develop our client system and add features to it during the year. We will also add blog content where possible and develop the features of our secure mail service.
The sharp rise in general consumer prices and the exceptional rise in energy prices have a significant impact on all costs. Over the last seven years, our data centres have increased prices by a total of 30% (2017-2024). cPanel licence costs have risen by over 500% in the same period! Similarly, most domain name registries have increased their prices for domain names. However, the situation is levelling out and we dare to react exceptionally.
Many of our competitors have rounded their prices up, but we rounded them down! We rounded down the prices of all our webhosting, business packages, servers and domains today 1.1.2025! So the base price of almost all services went down! Even in difficult times, we want to stick to our cost-effective and customer-focused principles. To clarify our pricing and enable lower base prices, we have abolished additional discounts for longer billing periods from 1.1.2025. This will allow us to maintain and possibly reduce our basic prices in the future.
In 2025, we will continue to actively develop our services in a customer-centric way. Our aim is always to provide the best possible service at the best possible price for the benefit of our customers.
